OUR STORY
Heros of the Sea was established to support those in need, whether they are members of the Coast Guard and our communities in the Pacific Northwest. Jim Linkous started the Heros of the Sea event in 2017 to honor the memory of a friend who lost his life during a tragic plane crash. Driven by a vision, Jim, with the support of STACK Infrastructure, transformed this need into an impactful event, ultimately creating an endowment to provide support for years to come. Through their combined efforts, a lasting legacy will continue to make a difference in the lives of many who bravely risk their lives daily.
Through the Years
2021
In 2021, the Pacific Northwest Chief Warrant Officers Association of Seattle, WA, took a significant step by initiating the 501(c)(3) nonprofit to support the Hearos of the Sea. This partnership has proven to be incredibly impactful, culminating in an impressive $200,000 in donations this year alone. Little did we know at that time, this initial effort would blossom into our first endowment, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the future.
2022
Our partnership has built a foundation of trust and opened up valuable networking opportunities. Together, we recognized a pressing need for support in the Pacific Northwest and remained dedicated to addressing this gap. By providing essential resources, we empower our Coast Guard Members to concentrate on their critical missions. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who have contributed to making a meaningful impact in this region.
2023

Thanks to your generosity, we have expanded our efforts to support Coast Guard members and communities across the United States, notably assisting those affected by the tragic fires in Maui. This year has been remarkable for the Heroes of the Sea as we proudly reached a significant milestone with an endowment of $1,200,000. This perpetual fund is designed to grow for generations to come. This strategic accomplishment ensures that we are creating a lasting legacy that will benefit our community for years ahead.
